On Board classes provide hands on instruction with an experienced Continuity Coach. Learn the fundamentals of CrossFit, practice form, improve mechanics and understand safe methodology to build your training foundation and excel at your athletic ability.
You will learn basic yet critical exercises like the squat, deadlift, and press, as well as more complex Olympic weightlifting movements including the clean and jerk and snatch.
CrossFit Continuity prescribes 6 On Board classes to prepare you for the CrossFit WOD class. On-board classes are held Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 6:45 PM and Fridays at 6:00 PM. The on-board members will work separately with a coach to learn specific lifts and movements, then they will join the CrossFit class in a modified version of their workout.
After completing 6 classes, students are evaluated to establish if the foundational movements can be demonstrated in order to participate in the CrossFit WOD classes. We think of CrossFit as a marathon, not a race. As long as there is improvement, there is value and it's certainly better than not CrossFitting at all.
